We want our forums to be open, allowing conversation to flow with intervention by us kept to a minimum - we do have a few rules to help ensure the forums are a friendly place with positive interactions:

  • Be Respecftul
Treat all members with kindness and respect. Personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, or hate speech will not be tolerated.
  • Stay on Topic
Keep discussions relevant to that thread or topic. If your post does not relate to the topic, start a new thread or search for a relevant one.
  • No Spam
Avoid posting irrelevant content, promotional material, or multiple posts of the same message. Spam clutters the forum and disrupts discussions. Whilst the odd external link that may be useful for people is fine, obviously advertising or promoting of other services/products will be dealt with.
  • Use Appropriate Language
Refrain from using obscene, offensive or inappropriate language.
  • Avoid Sensitive Topics
Topics like politics, religion, or anything inflammatory should be handled with care. Discussions that get heated or off-topic may see staff intervention.
  • Provide Constructive Feedback
If you disagree with something, focus on providing constructive feedback rather than being dismissive or argumentative. Healthy debates are encouraged!
  • No Illegal Content
Do not post any content that violates laws, such as pirated material, hate speech, or anything that promotes illegal activities.
  • Protect Your Privacy
Do not share personal contact details, such as phone numbers, addresses, or financial information. Protect your identity and privacy.
  • Report Violations
If you see a post that violates the guidelines, report it to the moderators. Don't engage in the behaviour or retaliate against the person breaking the rules.
  • Respect the Moderators
Follow the decisions of forum moderators or administrators. They are here to ensure the forum remains a safe and productive place for everyone
  • The forums are subject to the same 'Content' rules as per the sites' Terms of Service

    Additional Tips

  • Use descriptive titles: When creating a new thread, use a clear and descriptive title to let others know what the topic is about
  • Search before posting: Check if a similar topic already exists before starting a new one to avoid duplicate discussions
  • Use formatting wisely: Avoid ALL CAPS (shouting), excessive punctuation, or emoji overuse. Keep your point easy to read.

By following these guidelines, you help maintain a welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy meaningful discussions.
